Saturday we did 23 miles on the Allegheny River. A nice wide shallow river with a good current. We were able to surf some of the eddys at the top, but the river widened out and slowed down as we moved down river. Near the bottom, Jon picked the wrong path and had a nice overland excursion as a result to get back to the big water. We hit it on a day after a big rain storm, so the river was quite muddy, zero vis.
It was a nice river to say we 'bagged', but I'm not overly anxious to do that same stretch again, the city of Warren did not have too much to offer either.
Overall a nice weekend getaway, plenty of laughs anytime we get together.
