Hendrix Experience Tour

Last week was the Hendrix Experience Tour.  I was disappointed in the performances compared to last year.  A few glimmering moments, but also a lot of mediocre ones too.  Even a couple songs by Living Color that were down right bad - just really off.

Highlight of the night, as always, was KWS laying down a scorching 15 minute rendition of Voodoo Child.  In my opinion, his performance was so far above the rest of the other nights performances it made me wonder what the future of the tour will become.

This week Rolling Stone gave the new Hendrix unreleased songs box set four and half stars, I'll have to pick it up.  Supposed to be a lot more unreleased stuff coming too.

Amazing we still pay tribute to a rock legend who passed 40 years ago.  His music still seems as relevant to me  as anything else out there.
