Welcome Cheech

This weekend Susan and I adopted a five pound Mexican midget named Cheech.  He has quickly settled into our home and has immediately shown us he's got a huge heart in a pint sized package.

He follows us all around the house, and has taken to walking underneath Bender.  Bender seems to tolerate him just fine, and seems more puzzled by his presence than anything else.

Cheech was rescued by the Last Day Dog Rescue from a high kill animal shelter, where he was very close to seeing his last day.  We met Cheech, and his foster owner Paulette last weekend at the Novi Pet Expo.  We are eternally grateful to Paulette for the work she does with the rescue organization and for the love she has given to Cheech before delivering him into our unsuspecting lives.  We moved through the adoption process rather quickly so that we may be able to spend some bonding time together with him over the long Thanksgiving weekend.

It seems we quickly moved through the adjustment period, as Cheech won us over almost immediately, with his sweet personality and his devotion to his new family.

Welcome Cheech.
