This has been another unusual year for me to say the least. For a variety of reasons, I've not been actively blogging recently, but for the sake of posterity, it's probably time to do a catch up post on what happened in 2011.
In the following order:
I started a new job with an old friend - bad idea
I sold the Jeep - too much driveway space, not enough driving
I bought a sailboat - raced it with a crew of 6 all summer and quickly exceeded it's design limitations
I quit my my job and sailed some more through the summer - good idea
I bought a touring motorcycle - haven't yet done the distance touring part I've always wanted to do..next year..
I sold the boat in the pursuit of something bigger and faster - still looking
I decided to go back to work - went back to work two weeks later
I bought another DN and built a large trailer for transporting three ice boats - JMJ is now three strong
I've got another sailing project in the skunkwerks phase - more to follow
It's been a dynamic year to say the least. It's always something. Here's to 2012.
