We didn't kick up any birds, but we definetly smelled a few, gotta start somewhere. Next weekend we'll go hang out at the Detroit Gun Club to get used to the sound of a shotgun.

Training Day
Today we started bird training. I have discovered there is an AKC Field Trial area within 15 minutes from our home at the Highland Lakes Rec Area. It's really a beautiful area, just made for hunting. I'm astonished that in 12 years of living in the area, I've never been to this state park, we will be back again soon. It was a beautiful sunny evening with a late winter sun, that just made the entire area light up in gold, shame I only had my camera phone.
