Life's been busy

Last weekend I went to Tawas for the first session with my own gear, met and made some great friends, lots of laughs. Had a great time with my new friend Dr Chris as we shared a kite and the learning experience, as we were both at exactly the same place in the learning process. Wind blowin' hard both Saturday evening and all day Sunday. Sunday we kited in 25 kts with a loaner 9 meter from Brian in the pouring rain. There were no lodging accommodations to be found in Tawas, so I slept in the car right down on the water with a terrific nighttime view of the city. When I woke up in the morning Chris had parked his car right next to mine, as he had the same problem I did finding a room.

Sold the beemer for the second time this summer, both times to Todd. He took delivery earlier in the week and seemed really happy with the car. He seemed to be sympathetic to my work situation earlier this summer. I brought home an '08 WRX this evening, got a great deal on a new used car, put big money down and have a ridiculously low payment. Would have liked to buy more car, but it's just not where I'm at in my life right now.

Alot of turmoil in my decision as the '09s will be putting down big power, firmer suspension and have some terrific styling improvements, price to be released in another week, cars to begin hitting showrooms in late Sept. Time will tell if I made the right decision, I just couldn't pass up the deal I received, leaving plenty of $$$ for upgrades and snow tires.
