Today was the first time I got comfortable handling the kite and the board at the same time. I also learned that it's a better idea to just reel in the kite and walk it back rather than try and fly it when you have a long walk back up wind. Other mistake I made was to be indecisive on where I was going to set up. The indecision cost me about an hour of walking in knee high water, carrying all of my gear. Lot's of work ahead of me trying to figure out how to stay up wind.
I bumped into some friends, then it started to pour. Brian had an event at his shop, then we were off to the bluesfest, and local establishments, it was a great night with new friends.
Sunday morning I opted to leave early after breakfast rather than kite. The weather was calling for low winds from the north, coupled with an uncomfortable nights sleep in my car and plans for a concert Sunday evening, I don't believe the day ever developed.
